Maui Beach Cottage is a unique oceanfront vacation rental property located in a quiet corner of South Maui — a neighborhood that still carries an old Hawaii charm. The house is in one of the most expensive real estate corridors and just up the road from the Wailea luxury resorts. Beach cottages like these used to dot the coast in a bygone era, before the encroachment of luxury homes and the advent of resort development. They are a rare gem today.
The owners wanted to hold onto their family property and cover the cost to maintain it. By running a vacation rental and promoting it through the internet, they could create the necessary income, and at the same time, provide Maui visitors an option to experience old school, island-style Hawaii.
The site features photos of the cottage and property, information on the rental and surroundings, along with a booking schedule and reservation / contact forms. The design of the website is understated, simple and clean — right in line with the spirit of the cottage and property. The site was originally built 15 years ago and has been upgraded several times since, to its current mobile friendly version launched in 2019.
