Our passion is to create quality work.

We are a boutique design and marketing company - creative, nimble and not afraid to be out ahead of the pack. We have designed and programmed over 100 websites for clients on all Hawaiian Islands and for projects in California and Japan. The core of our work centers around the internet, but our background and skill set is much wider and spans through mass media and public spaces.

For 25 years, we have worked on a wide variety of visual projects reaching local, national as well as international audiences through television, magazines, newspapers, exhibitions, films, books and, of course, the internet.

When we embark on launching a new website, we tap into a unique design and marketing background. Our goal is to create website experiences that engage the mind, excite the eyes and ultimately move people.

Rich Tully

Owner • Designer (Web, Graphic & Space) • Marketer • Promoter • Producer
Born in San Francisco. Raised in Hawaii and Japan. Lived in Japan 15 years. Loves water sports and adventures.

My passion is solving problems with creativity and logic. I strongly believe that building a successful website, along with any other creative endevour, requires a healthy dose of both form and function working in tandem.

Not long after graduating from university, I caught the design and marketing bug while working in the advertising industry in Tokyo. It was the 1990’s, right after the burst of the Japanese economic boom. I was hired by a leading Japanese visual production company, not necessarily for my artistic skills, but for my obsession with extreme sports along with a knack to work between two very different cultures and languages. I was an unconventional hire, especially for a Japanese company.

The company was Amana Visual Solutions Company, a leading producer of commercial visuals in Japan, and soon to be the gold standard world-wide for contemporary, high-end creative imagery. Just as my tenure began, they were starting their global expansion. This was a decade before Getty Images made the industry jolting purchase of Amana’s international divisions. Being the only foreigner in the Japan headquarters and studios — out of 300+ creatives (photographers, cgi artists, designers), producers and staff — it was a unique experience to be immersed all day, everyday, in this Japanese world of esthetics, work culture and relentless pursuit of perfection. Crazy and exciting, it pushed me to the edge of my limits.

After working in Japan for seven years, I returned to Hawaii in 2000 and started my design and marketing companies Websites Hawaii and Tully Studios.

Over the past 25 years, I have had the pleasure to work on projects encompassing a wide range of design (web, graphic and space), licensing and marketing projects with the following companies and media outlets:
